Acute inferior MI (Case 2)
ST elevation in II, III, aVF. Reciprocal ST depression in I, aVL, V1-V3 (V1-V2 in this case). See ST T abnormalities in acute ST elevation MI table
Evolving inferior MI. One hour following emergency PCI/stent procedure.
Stage 3 evolving pattern with decreasing ST elevation and T wave begins to invert (Compare lead III of the top and the bottom ECG). Q wave is already formed. Reciprocal ST depression is usually resolved fast (I, aVL, V1-V2). Note that the duration of evolving pattern is much shorter with successful rapid reperfusion treatment (thrombolysis or primary PCI) like in this case.
